Staff Engineer - Java Opportunities at Rakuten India
Join Rakuten India as a Staff Engineer specializing in Java and contribute to our dynamic global technology initiatives. This permanent role is based in Bengaluru, India's tech capital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the scoping, planning, and technical architecture review processes for projects.
- Foster and manage the growth of skills and talent within the engineering organization.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Services development team.
- Champion the development and implementation of automated solutions to enhance efficiency and streamline processes.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Development, Test, DevOps, Product/Project Management, Business Units, and Operations to ensure successful project launches and deliveries.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 11 years of comprehensive experience encompassing Architecture, Hands-on Coding, High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), and System Design.
- Demonstrated expertise in Web-based Technologies (Java), web services architecture, Microservice architecture, design patterns, and relevant frameworks.
- Proficiency in System design principles and practices.
- Extensive experience with the Spring Boot framework, with at least 4 years specifically in this area.
- Proven experience working with caching mechanisms, application servers, and web containers.
- Solid understanding of various datastores, including relational databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL, as well as NoSQL solutions.
- Experience with Kubernetes is considered a significant advantage.
- A strong grasp of software development best practices and associated tools.
- Hands-on experience managing complex projects, with a preference for Agile methodologies.
- Comfort and experience working effectively with distributed teams.
