Staff Engineer - Consumer Information

Experian is seeking a dynamic Staff Engineer to join our Consumer Information Business. This is a hybrid role requiring you to be based in Hyderabad, Telangana, and visit our office at least twice a month.

You will report to the Director of Engineering and be part of our #LI-hybrid team.

• Lead the architectural design, development, and deployment of robust and scalable applications leveraging the .NET ecosystem.
• Utilize Amazon Web Services (AWS) for designing, building, and deploying cloud-native applications.
• Develop and maintain sophisticated front-end components using React.js.
• Collaborate closely with architects to translate high-level architectural visions into actionable technical specifications.
• Partner with agile development teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of features and product enhancements.
• Provide technical leadership, conduct thorough code reviews, and uphold the highest standards of engineering best practices.
• Implement and optimize Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to enhance development and release velocity.
• Drive automation initiatives across testing and deployment processes to boost efficiency.
• Take full ownership of product quality, performance metrics, and delivery schedules, ensuring successful project outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in software engineering.
• Deep expertise in .NET Core / .NET Framework, C#, and associated technologies.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with key AWS services such as Lambda, S3, EC2, and RDS.
• Mandatory proficiency in React.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript development.
• Strong understanding and practical application of Microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
• Proven experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Solid grasp of object-oriented design principles, common design patterns, and software development best practices.
• Demonstrated experience working within agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• A proven ability to mentor junior engineers and lead by example through technical contributions and collaboration.

Desirable Skills

• Experience implementing and utilizing various automated testing strategies and techniques.
• Experience with serverless development and deployment patterns.
• Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and services.
• Exposure to DevOps principles and infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of Content Delivery Networks (CDN) and services like CloudFront.
