Staff Engineer – Frontend

The Role:
As a Senior Frontend Engineer (Staff level) on the ECS team, you will collaborate with engineers, Business Analysts, and UX designers to deliver new functionalities for our Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) website membership experience. You will work independently while leveraging industry-leading web frameworks in high-performance micro-frontend solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize leading-edge web frameworks within a high-performance micro-frontend architecture.
• Prototype, develop, test, and integrate best-in-class responsive web components using TypeScript with Angular or React/Redux (Lit experience preferred).
• Analyze existing codebases to provide insights on optimization opportunities.
• Conduct peer reviews to ensure adherence to software engineering best practices.
• Integrate RESTful web services in AWS cloud environments within multi-tiered applications.
• Optimize legacy and modern code using established engineering standards.
• Develop re-usable patterns that drive team innovation and velocity.
• Participate fully in the SDLC/Agile cycle, including iterative development, estimations, and design sessions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 8 to 10 years of front-end development experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.
• 4+ years building responsive Single Page Applications (SPAs) using Angular or React/Redux.
• Mandatory proficiency in TypeScript alongside Angular or React frameworks.
• Preferred: Experience working with Web Components and Lit element library.
• Demonstrated ability to complete tasks autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of unit testing (Jest) and End-to-End (E2E) testing strategies.
• Experience building software that prioritizes security, accessibility, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with Cloud/Hybrid Cloud AWS solutions.
• Mastery of Git SCM command-line tools.
• Preferred: Experience in Behavior Driven Design (BDD).
