Staff Engineer / Associate Architect at Hyperface (Bangalore)

Hyperface is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Engineer or Associate Architect to join our core engineering team in Bangalore. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in architecting, building, and scaling our technology platform. You will tackle complex problem-solving challenges hands-on, while also mentoring fellow engineers and shaping the technical direction of our products.

Responsibilities:

• Design, architect, and implement scalable and resilient systems for Hyperface's credit card platform.
• Champion best practices in coding, architecture, design patterns, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and business teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Mentor and guide engineers through code reviews, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
• Identify and resolve complex technical challenges related to scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Evaluate and adopt new tools, frameworks, and technologies aligned with business objectives.
• Contribute to the long-term technical strategy and roadmap for Hyperface's product suite.

Requirements:

• 7-12 years of software engineering experience, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a senior or lead role.
• Proficiency in modern backend technologies such as Java, Go, or Node.js, and cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong expertise in system design, microservices architecture, distributed systems, and APIs.
• Hands-on experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as caching solutions.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, and DevOps practices.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a strong focus on product and customer needs.
• Demonstrated track record of mentoring and providing technical leadership within engineering teams.
