Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the backend technology strategy, driving innovation and experimentation.

• Champion code craftsmanship, adhere to coding standards, and utilize tools to enhance code quality.
• Design and architect scalable backend systems, with a strong focus on cloud-native solutions, microservices, and serverless architectures.
• Architect and develop large-scale backend systems using Java EE, with extensive experience in Spring MVC or Hibernate.
• Lead and influence cross-functional teams, driving technical roadmaps and aligning with business objectives.
• Design and implement fault-tolerant systems prioritizing high availability and disaster recovery.
• Apply advanced security practices, including secure coding, encryption, and access control.
• Mentor engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Work with large-scale, high-performance systems using Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of backend development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proficiency in Java as a backend development language.
• Expertise in Java EE technologies such as Java language, application servers, servlet containers, JMS, JPA, Spring MVC, and Hibernate.
• Proven leadership in designing and architecting scalable backend systems, particularly cloud-native, microservices, and serverless.
• Experience architecting and developing large-scale backend systems using Java EE, Spring MVC, or Hibernate.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and drive technical roadmaps.
• Experience designing and implementing fault-tolerant, high-availability, and disaster-recovery systems.
• Expertise in advanced security practices.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Experience with large-scale, high-performance systems.
• Knowledge of the payment processing industry and relevant regulations is a plus.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Contributions to open-source projects are desirable.
