The Role

We are seeking a Staff Backend Engineer – Alerts for the Pulse team. You will build features around our alerting module ensuring reliability when handling thousands of concurrent alerts.

Key Responsibilities

• Build robust and scalable alert features.
• Integrate with third-party tools like JIRA and incident.io.
• Design and implement APIs, services, and core backend components in Go.
• Ensure high reliability of the alerts system.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in Golang with strong understanding of concurrency, locks, channels, and performance.
• Experience building distributed systems with clean code.
• Loves open source (prior OSS contributions preferred).
• Ability to drive initiatives end-to-end from discovery to rollout.
• Comfortable working in a high-ownership, fast-moving, remote-first environment.
