Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain robust APIs, libraries, and services powering financial services such as clearing and settlement, digital asset lending, trading, and liquidity.
• Take full ownership of functionality and scalability features from inception through deployment and customer integration.
• Expose and document functionalities for UI, third-party developers, and internal/external tooling.
• Collaborate effectively with global engineering teams, including those in the U.S., to ensure alignment on technical requirements and maintain high work quality across different time zones.
• Mentor peers within the broader engineering team through code reviews and sharing best practices.

Requirements:

• 7-9 years of experience in back-end development using server-side languages like Golang, TypeScript/Node.js, Java, or Python.
• Proficiency in algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
• Experience with microservices and service-oriented architectures.
• A strong understanding and keen interest in cryptocurrencies and the blockchain industry.
• Experience developing or supporting financial accounting systems, including general ledger and bookkeeping functions.
• Extensive experience with SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• Strong skills in RESTful API design.
• Expertise in unit and functional testing, and debugging.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub, branching methodologies, code review tools, CI/CD tools, JIRA, and Confluence.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field from a reputable university.
• Proven ability to work autonomously, learn proactively, debug complex issues, and understand intricate systems.
• A track record of solving challenging, ambiguous problems and a commitment to building scalable, foundational systems.
• A capacity to act as a technical mentor, elevating peer skills and fostering a culture of engineering excellence.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with large-scale, real-time, and distributed applications.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
• Prior experience in the financial industry or with digital wallets, clearing and settlement, lending, trading, or accounting systems.
