Staff Application Developer

About the Role

Build AI-powered experiences where they matter most at Genesys. As a Staff Application Developer - Record to Report (Workday Financials), you will serve as a functional and technical subject matter expert for Workday Financial Systems, supporting implementation enhancements and post-production optimization.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Designing, configuring, testing, and documenting scalable solutions across Core Financials, Accounting Center, Tax, Advanced Accounting (Multicurrency/Revaluation), Reporting, Banking & Cash Management, Assets, and Security.
• Partnering with Finance, IT, and Product stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Serving as an SME for troubleshooting issues via ServiceNow, performing root cause analysis, and ensuring SOX compliance through security audits.
• Maintaining Accounting Center use cases, batch jobs, Business Processes, Account Posting Rules, Worktags, and Security Roles.
• Collaborating on third-party integrations including tax engines, reconciliation tools, and banking systems to ensure data integrity across ledgers and currencies.

Required Qualifications:

• 8 years of hands-on Workday Financials experience (ERP support or implementation).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, internal controls, and SOX-controlled environments.
• Demonstrated ability to configure multiple Workday Financial functional areas.
• Experience with Jira/ServiceNow incident ticket-driven models and clear documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Consolidated Reporting, Alternate Ledger Account Sets, Revaluation, Book Codes, Allocations, and EIBs.
• Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, financial analysis).
• Bachelor's degree in MIS, Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
