[SSP] Frontend Web Developer

Role Overview

Join the BMW TechWorks team to develop a cutting-edge web-based frontend plugin (UcGui) designed specifically for configuring ECU gateway functionality. You will be working with the NXP S32G399 processor platform, utilizing an OData-driven architecture to visualize and manipulate complex automotive configurations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a responsive, web-based frontend plugin for UcGui using your expertise in Angular, React, or Vue.js.
• Integrate with OData APIs to consume, validate, and visualize real-time ECU configuration data (e.g., bus-to-bus routing).
• Create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces capable of handling complex scenarios such as:

• Implement sophisticated UI interactions including drag-and-drop functionality, visual mappings, and dynamic editors to enhance the user experience for system engineers.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with backend developers, UX designers, and system engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions on schedule.

Required Skills

• Demonstrated proficiency in modern frontend technologies: Angular / React / Vue.js.
• Strong UX/UI design background with a proven track record of designing interfaces for complex engineering or industrial tools.
• Solid experience integrating and visualizing data via OData or REST-based APIs.
• Hands-on expertise in advanced UI interactions such as drag-and-drop, canvas rendering, and dynamic form generation.

Nice to Have Skills

• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet).
• Previous experience building configuration tools or plugin-based architectures for engineering workflows.
• Knowledge of the specific challenges in embedded systems visualization.
