SRE Engineer

Job Summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with 6 to 10 years of experience to join their dynamic team in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in SQL, Azure DevOps, AWS EKS, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Elastic Beanstalk, Kubernetes, Python, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and AWS automation, as well as Terraform. This hybrid role operates on a day shift with no travel required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable software solutions using SQL, Azure DevOps, and AWS EKS to enhance system performance and reliability.
• Implement and manage SRE practices to ensure high availability and resilience of applications.
• Utilize Elastic Beanstalk and Kubernetes to deploy and manage applications in cloud environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement automation solutions using Python and Terraform.
• Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to minimize downtime and improve user experience.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to maintain code quality.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools to increase productivity.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation within the team.
• Ensure compliance with security and data protection standards in all software development activities.
• Document technical specifications and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding.
• Engage in agile development practices to deliver high-quality software solutions in a timely manner.
• Support the team in achieving project milestones and deliverables to meet business objectives.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in SQL, Azure DevOps, AWS EKS, and SRE practices.
• Proficiency in Elastic Beanstalk, Kubernetes, and Python for cloud application management.
• Experience in GCP and AWS cloud platforms with a focus on automation and infrastructure as code.
• Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Knowledge of the consumer lending domain is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• A proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies and methodologies.
