Sr. UX Designer / UX Designer

About the Role:

As a UI/UX Designer at ixigo, your primary responsibility will be to translate user insights into engaging and effective experiences. You will be instrumental in creating functional, appealing, and beautiful features that directly address customer needs, utilizing your creative design skills, aesthetic judgment, and technical expertise to craft outstanding user experiences.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with Product, Strategy, Marketing, and Engineering teams to define and execute the design vision and strategy.
• Gather and analyze user requirements in partnership with product managers and engineers.
• Visually represent design concepts through storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps.
• Employ an iterative, user-centered design methodology, ensuring high-quality deliverables at every stage of the UX design process.
• Lead discovery sessions and brainstorming activities.
• Develop user flows, wireframes, UI mockups, and prototypes to clearly demonstrate site and feature functionality and aesthetics.
• Present design concepts, ideas, and potential solutions to stakeholders and senior management, and integrate their feedback.
• Actively participate in UX testing and refine designs based on synthesized test results.
• Apply a deep understanding of UX best practices and emerging trends in media, online learning, and other relevant fields.
• Identify and resolve UX issues, such as responsiveness problems.
• Create and maintain a comprehensive site-wide style guide.

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of UI/UX design experience within a product team.
• A strong foundation in fundamental visual design principles, including typography, iconography, composition, color theory, and layout.
• Proficiency with UX collaboration tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, Miro, and similar platforms.
• Proven experience in designing for mobile (phones) and tablet interfaces for both Android and iOS platforms is mandatory.
• Demonstrable experience with responsive design principles is required.
• A Bachelor's degree or diploma in Graphic Design from a Tier 1 college.
• A portfolio showcasing a solid understanding of user experience design principles, UI best practices, and usability.
