Sr Systems Engineer

We are seeking a Sr Systems Engineer to join our team in Pune, India. This role involves providing leadership and support for daily operations and technical issues, participating in client calls, and contributing to project initiation and planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in deploying Infrastructure as a Code (IaC) on cloud technologies for Linux and Windows Servers. Responsibilities include installing, upgrading, and supporting applications (SQL, IIS, in-house apps), and remotely maintaining applications and infrastructure in cloud and self-hosted environments. Experience in architecting infrastructure services with Azure, Linux, hardware, virtualization, APM, and infra automation is highly desirable. Prior experience supporting these environments within the healthcare sector is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provision and maintain Azure IaaS and Azure PaaS (AKS Cluster), and Azure Infrastructure environments.
• Manage and resolve client and project issues, driving them to closure.
• Support Altera applications on Windows Server.
• Mentor team members to enhance their skills and ensure consistency.
• Collaborate with product lines to understand their needs and improve team services for client satisfaction.
• Maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Allscripts Hosted applications and adhere to internal and external Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Guide and mentor associates on technical challenges and identify areas for infrastructure improvement.
• Drive continuous automation and improvement in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Work with management to achieve organizational goals and KPIs.
• Stay updated with technological advancements and propose strategies for client migration to new services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience in supporting cloud infrastructure is essential; Azure experience is a significant advantage.
• Certifications in relevant data center operations technologies are beneficial.

Experience

• Proven experience in supporting 24x7 cloud operations, implementation, and day-to-day management.
• Proficiency in cloud deployment of VMs, storage accounts, VNets, Key Vaults, Network Security Groups (NSGs)/Application Security Groups (ASGs), and other cloud resources.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as a Code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Working knowledge of Azure Security Center, Patch Management, Desired State Configuration, and file integrity monitoring services.
• Understanding of cloud networking, backup, and disaster recovery concepts.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Technologies including Windows Server, File Server, Active Directory (AD), DNS, IIS, and SQL.
• Healthcare IT experience is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years in a lead role for implementation or project teams.

Travel Requirements

• Ability and willingness to travel internationally on a short-term basis as required.

Working Arrangements

• May require on-call support outside of standard working hours.
• Work is conducted in a standard office environment.
