Sr Systems Engineer

Altera Digital Health is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join their team in Pune, India. This permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge healthcare technology.

Responsibilities:

• Execute application installations, upgrades, and ongoing product maintenance for existing clientele.
• Diagnose and resolve complex application upgrade challenges, including critical incidents.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive upgrade documentation and standardized operational procedures.
• Prior experience with EHR application support and upgrades, especially with the Paragon application, is a significant advantage.
• Cultivate and maintain strong, positive working relationships with customers and project team members.
• Effectively plan, prioritize, and execute assigned tasks within established deadlines.
• Ensure adherence to and compliance with all change control policies and processes.
• Manage and resolve incidents and service requests promptly, providing clear and timely communication.
• Support the deployment of continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using GitHub.
• Participate in rotating shift schedules, which include nighttime and weekend coverage, to ensure 24/7 support for production environments.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

• Proficiency in Windows operating systems and IIS administration.
• Experience with PowerShell for scripting application installations and uninstalls.
• Working knowledge of VMWare, Active Directory, and fundamental networking concepts.
• Familiarity with Azure services, including resource management and monitoring tools.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions for managing CI/CD workflows.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as a self-starter.
• Capacity to learn new technologies quickly and communicate them effectively.
• Understanding of software and hardware implementation methodologies.
• Ability to identify problems and recommend optimal solutions.

Education and Certifications:

• A Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in computer science, engineering, information systems/technology, or a comparable combination of education and professional experience.
• Microsoft AZ-900 Certification is recommended.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management.
• Skill in explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Flexibility and willingness to work night shifts for production environment upgrades.
• A minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in systems engineering or a closely related field.
