Full Job Description
Altera Digital Health seeks a Sr. Systems Engineer in Pune, India, to provide leadership and support for day-to-day operations and technical issues. This role involves client communication, initiation, and planning phases of organizational projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in deploying Infrastructure as a Code (IaC) over Cloud technologies for both Linux and Windows Servers. Responsibilities include installing, upgrading, and supporting applications such as SQL, IIS, and in-house applications, along with remote maintenance of cloud and self-hosted infrastructure.
Preference is given to candidates with leadership experience in architecting infrastructure services using Azure, Linux, hardware, virtualization, Application Performance Monitoring (APM), and infrastructure automation. Healthcare IT experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provision and maintain Azure IaaS and PaaS environments.
- Manage and resolve client and project issues.
- Serve as an escalation point for the team.
- Mentor team members to enhance skills and promote consistency.
- Assist management in strategy organization, planning, and implementation.
- Evaluate staff performance and ensure compliance with timescales.
- Effectively manage client relationships and resolve escalations.
- Ensure efficient staff utilization to meet milestones and maintain motivation.
- Collaborate with product lines to understand and improve team services for client satisfaction.
- Maintain team KPIs and ensure adherence to internal and external SLAs.
- Track progress of associate objectives and goals weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Guide and mentor associates on technical challenges and identify infrastructure improvement areas.
- Drive continuous automation and improvement in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Work with management to achieve organizational goals and KPIs.
- Propose strategies for service upgrades based on new technology developments and guide clients through transitions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience in supporting cloud infrastructure is mandatory; Azure experience is an added advantage.
- Certifications in relevant Data Center Operations technologies are beneficial.
Experience
- Experience in supporting 24x7 cloud operations, implementation, and day-to-day activities.
- Proficiency in Azure, including VM deployment, Storage Accounts, VNet, Key Vault, NSG/ASG, AKS, PaaS services, and other cloud resources.
- Experience with Infrastructure as a Code and CI/CD pipelines.
- Working experience with Azure networking and storage.
- Working experience with Azure Security Center, Patch Management, Desired State, and file integrity monitoring services.
- Healthcare IT experience is a plus.
- Windows experience is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years in a lead role for implementation or project teams.
Travel Requirements
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally on a short-term basis as required.
Working Arrangements
- May require on-call after-hours support for problem cases outside of standard working hours.
- Work is performed in a standard office environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards.
