Sr Systems Engineer

Harris Computer is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for their Pune, India location. This role requires leadership and technical support for daily operations and issue resolution, including participation in client calls and project initiation/planning. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in deploying Infrastructure as a Code over cloud technologies (Linux & Windows Servers), and experience installing, upgrading, and supporting applications such as SQL, IIS, and in-house applications. Responsibilities include remotely maintaining applications and infrastructure (cloud and self-hosted), with a preference for candidates with architectural experience in Azure, Linux, hardware, virtualization, APM, and infra automation, especially within the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities:

• Provision and maintain Azure IaaS and PaaS environments.
• Manage client and project issues, driving them to closure.
• Serve as an escalation point for the team.
• Mentor team members to enhance their skills and promote consistency.
• Assist management in organizing, planning, and implementing strategies.
• Evaluate staff performance and ensure compliance with timelines.
• Effectively manage client relationships and resolve escalations.
• Ensure efficient staff utilization to achieve milestones and maintain motivation.
• Collaborate with Product Line to understand and improve team services for client satisfaction.
• Maintain team KPIs and ensure adherence to internal and external SLAs.
• Track progress of associate objectives on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual bases.
• Demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Guide and mentor associates on technical challenges and identify infrastructure improvement areas.
• Drive continuous automation and improvement in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Work with management to achieve organizational goals and KPIs.
• Propose strategies for service upgrades based on new technology developments and client needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Experience supporting cloud infrastructure is mandatory; Azure experience is a significant advantage.
• Certifications in relevant Data Center Operations technologies are beneficial.

Experience:

• Proven experience supporting 24x7 cloud operations, implementation, and daily tasks.
• Proficiency in Azure, including VM deployment, Storage accounts, VNet, Key Vault, NSG/ASG, AKS, PaaS services, and other cloud resources.
• Demonstrated experience with Infrastructure as a Code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Working experience in Azure networking and storage.
• Working experience with Azure Security Center, Patch Management, Desired State, and file integrity monitoring services.
• Healthcare IT experience is a plus.
• Windows experience is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years in a lead role for implementation or project teams.

Travel Requirements:

• Willing and able to travel internationally on a short-term basis as required.

Working Arrangements:

• May require on-call support outside of regular working hours.
• Work is typically performed in a standard office environment.
