Sr Systems Engineer

About the Role

Insight Global's client is seeking an experienced Level 3 Systems Engineer to support a diverse managed services environment. This senior technical position focuses on cloud migrations, SaaS environments, Microsoft Azure administration, networking, firewall configuration, and escalated technical support.

Diverse Client Base

You will work across various client environments including law firms, accounting organizations, retail businesses, manufacturers, nonprofits, real estate companies, and construction companies. Comfort with switching between different industries, technologies, and priorities is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale cloud migrations involving several terabytes of data from hosted environments to the cloud.
• Review current cloud architectures and help plan, troubleshoot, and execute migration strategies.
• Support the rollout, administration, and ongoing management of client SaaS products.
• Manage Microsoft Azure environments with a focus on security considerations.
• Configure, install, review, and troubleshoot firewalls (specifically Ubiquiti networks).
• Troubleshoot networking issues involving switches, VPNs, firewalls, and site-to-site connectivity.
• Ace ownership of escalated technical issues from L1/L2 technicians.
• Guide lower-level technicians through complex problems and provide expert direction.

Mandatory Requirements

• 8+ years of total IT experience (including 3+ years at Level 3).
• Proven recent experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP).
• Strong expertise in SaaS and cloud migration projects.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure platforms.
• Demonstrated skills in firewall configuration and complex networking.
• Able to handle escalations from L1/L2 support tiers.
