About the Role

We are seeking a senior developer with specialized expertise in scripting and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will be adept at client interaction and will serve as a key practitioner on our electronic trading systems. This role operates within a highly dynamic environment, engaging with Tier 1 banks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance full-stack solutions for our existing pipeline.
• Create new Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for seamless integration with our internally developed workflow tools.
• Engineer reusable code modules to facilitate new client-specific customizations.
• Enhance regression testing tools utilizing the firm's proprietary technology.
• Collaborate with regional teams to deliver improvements to global onboarding processes.
• Be prepared to work with proprietary technologies; no prior knowledge is required pre-hire.

General Experience

• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Acquire at least 6 years of professional experience in Java, Python, or an equivalent object-oriented programming (OOP) language within a Linux environment.
• Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC), including designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-scale technologies.
• Proficiency with standard SDLC tools such as version control systems (e.g., Git, CVS, SVN) and build tools (e.g., Jenkins).
• Clearly distinguish and understand the functionalities of relational databases (e.g., SQL, Sybase, DB2) and non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Experience with UI development, particularly AngularJS or React, is considered a valuable asset.

• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to uncover and comprehend client needs, diagnose root causes of issues, analyze alternative approaches, and implement creative, pragmatic solutions.

• Skill in multitasking while maintaining meticulous attention to detail and prioritizing tasks effectively.
• Familiarity with standard office software such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Characteristics

• A Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Information Systems, or a closely related field is preferred.
