Full Job Description
Netskope is seeking a highly experienced Sr. Staff Engineer to join our Productivity Engineering Team in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. This team is responsible for owning CI/CD and overall productivity for our 500+ engineer product development organization. We design, develop, and evolve CI/CD as a service in the cloud, along with tooling and systems that enhance the productivity of Netskope Engineering. Our goal is to enable rapid and efficient building, testing, deployment, and monitoring of world-class cloud security products at scale.
This role is ideal for engineers driven by high-quality, high-velocity software delivery challenges and who are adept at leveraging innovative and cutting-edge solutions. You will be instrumental in driving continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) within an agile, fast-paced engineering environment.
What you will be doing
- Develop a high-quality CD framework for a hybrid cloud environment.
- Implement service mesh architecture involving a mix of micro-service and monolithic services.
- Integrate leading DevOps/GitOps practices into our workflows.
- Design applications with API-driven principles for clean and extensible interfaces.
- Strategize and implement continuous deployment for dynamically growing Kubernetes/Docker-based microservices architectures.
- Build integrations between CD frameworks and other essential platforms such as Observability, Test-Automation, and GitHub.
Required skills and experience
- 12+ years of experience in Productivity Engineering, Automation, CI/CD, Developer Experience, DevOps, and Cloud technologies.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python or GoLang programming and code review.
- Advanced understanding of Kubernetes constructs, micro-services architecture, and design patterns for Enterprise SaaS at scale.
- In-depth knowledge of service mesh technologies (Istio, Consul, Linkerd) is highly desirable.
- Intimate knowledge of distribution systems such as Apt, Artifactory, Docker Registry, and Helm.
- In-depth knowledge of DevOps tools including Terraform, Ansible, Salt, Spinnaker, and OpenStack.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Education
- BSCS or equivalent required; MSCS or equivalent strongly preferred.
