Sr. Software/Platform Engineer

MetLife's Corporate Technology (CT) organization is undergoing a significant evolution to support MetLife’s New Frontier strategy. This global function is focused on driving digital technology strategies for key corporate functions such as Finance, Actuarial, Reinsurance, Legal, Human Resources, Employee Experience, Risk, Treasury, Audit, and Compliance. By partnering with business leaders, CT develops and delivers seamless technology experiences throughout the employee lifecycle, aiming to create innovative and transformative technology solutions that empower leaders and employees. MetLife is establishing a Technology Center in India as part of its Tech Talent Transformation (T3) agenda, operating as an integrated organization with onshore, offshore, and strategic vendor partners within an Agile delivery model.

We are seeking a highly skilled, hands-on delivery engineer to partner with Internal Audit Leaders, third-party vendors, and IT Executives. This role will lead global transformation projects focused on attracting, developing, and retaining talent across the organization. The ideal candidate will be part of a fast-paced IT team, leveraging expertise in Java, REACT, Python, Azure, and AI. Strategic thinking, effective communication, and technological development expertise are essential.

Key responsibilities include designing and maintaining Azure cloud infrastructure components, managing cluster configurations, monitoring job performance, and ensuring the high availability, performance, and security of Azure-based solutions. Stakeholder management is crucial, involving collaboration with key business stakeholders and vendors to deliver technology capabilities for digital transformation, and driving product backlog prioritization. This role also emphasizes the adoption of Agile methodologies throughout the software delivery lifecycle, encompassing end-to-end software lifecycle management from architecture to production support. Driving the resolution of development and post-production issues, and supporting day-to-day business enhancements are also key functions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in delivering Digital solutions.
• 4+ years of experience in Cloud engineering.
• Familiarity with integration solution technologies such as Azure and API Management.
• Proficiency with Azure services.
• Solid experience with SQL, Python, and Spark-based data processing.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
• Experience with MS Project, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, and related project delivery utilities.
• Azure Cloud Certifications are highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting internal functions like Finance, Audit, and Controls.
• Experience managing vendors against SLAs.
• Proven experience collaborating with peers to establish best practices for achieving high service levels.
