Sr. Software Engineer

About This Role

This is a fully remote position available only within the United States. We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to lead software development, system design innovation, and mentorship within our engineering team.

Role & Responsibilities

• Software Development: Write secure, performant code using C#/.NET and Angular; build reusable libraries; conduct peer code reviews; ensure production readiness via testing strategies (unit, integration, performance); configure CI/CD pipelines.
  Note: Use AI tools like Claude and Codex to write and review code.
• System Design: Lead design discussions for new systems; influence architecture decisions for scalability and security; apply best practices in observability and disaster recovery.
• Innovation & Research: Explore new technologies; lead adoption of tools supporting faster delivery and better customer outcomes.
• Mentorship: Provide technical guidance to team members; encourage knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years software development in enterprise or cloud environments.
  
• 3+ years backend development using C#
  
• 2+ years consuming third-party APIs
  
• 1+ years AWS cloud workflows (or similar)
  
• 1+ years Angular experience
  
• Experience with complex architecture, RESTful API design (AuthN, scaling), and API management platforms like Apigee.
  
• Cloud-native, event-driven, serverless application development (preferably AWS).
  
• Data management: SQL/NoSQL databases, data warehousing, ETL technologies.

Desired Qualifications

• Public technical portfolio or GitHub contributions.
  
• Experience with Python/FastAPI
  
• Domain knowledge in life and disability insurance (preferred).

Compensation & Benefits:$60 to $65 per hour based on experience. Health, 401K, EAP, and Sick Time available.
