Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in STIBO Product Information Management (PIM) for its Pune, Maharashtra location. This role is pivotal in leading the STIBO PIM application, with a specific focus on the Item and Location modules. You will be responsible for both the configuration and custom development within STIBO STEP modules. This position requires close collaboration with business and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable, extensible solutions that align with business objectives and a customer-first approach.

Key Contributions:

  • Support the merchandising engineering supply chain group in providing essential master data for e-commerce and retail operations.
  • Develop and maintain scalable systems to address current and future business demands.
  • Uphold high standards of software delivery through strong ownership and accountability.
  • Ensure business and functional requirements are met with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Engineer robust and adaptable solutions for product information management.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform STIBO STEP configuration and custom development.
  • Stay current with STEP platform versions and propose upgrade strategies.
  • Configure new integrations, enhance the data model with new object types, and develop JavaScript business rules and workflows.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions and design documents through collaboration with product management and business teams.
  • Operate within an agile development framework using Jira and Git.
  • Debug business rules and resolve software defects.
  • Assess the benefits of platform upgrades and work with DevOps teams on their execution.
  • Conduct performance testing to ensure solution scalability and extensibility.
  • Collaborate with production support teams to maintain system stability, especially during peak periods.
  • Develop operational readiness plans, alerts, and monitoring tools for production support.
  • Ensure the security and compliance of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) data.
  • Propose enhancements to improve the stability, maintainability, and scalability of the STIBO STEP implementation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the retail industry.
  • Over 5 years of experience working within cross-functional teams.
  • 5+ years of technical software development experience, including Java, JavaScript, data and database design, SQL, XML, XSD, JSON, Linux, and web services.
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on STIBO STEP experience covering configuration, development, architectural design, and integration (including attribute creation, business rule development, portal development, integration endpoint configuration, and workflow creation).
  • Proficiency with relational databases such as Oracle, DB2, or SQL, including the ability to write and review complex operational queries.
  • A solid understanding of RESTful API services.
  • Experience in defining deployment processes and methodologies.
  • Excellent technical documentation skills, including creating solution architecture documents and reviewing design documents.
  • Experience in building standards and reusable components for packaged solutions.
  • Ability to contribute to tool evaluations, architectural decisions, and proof-of-concept initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for timely technical issue resolution.
  • Ability to manage priorities, interruptions, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven experience in building scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems.
  • STIBO STEP Certification is a plus.
  • Master Data Management (MDM) or Product Information Management (PIM) experience is preferred.
