Sr. Software Engineer

About The Role

Join CrowdStrike's Data Science team as a Sr. Software Engineer - Rust/ C++. You will focus on developing robust libraries and SDKs for internal and external customers, collaborating with Machine Learning experts to create predictive models.

You'll be at the intersection of Big Data, ML, and Security, working on hard problems alongside domain experts in these fields.

What You’ll Do

• Develop file format parsing and feature extraction engines for diverse formats like PE, ELF, Mach-O, MS Office, etc.
• Engineer new machine learning features by collaborating with data scientists.
• Design, implement, test, optimize, and maintain robust libraries and APIs to bundle services.
• Document complex software systems designs and conduct critical code reviews.

What You’ll Need

• A passion for innovation, ownership, and taking on new challenges independently.
• Proficiency in C/C++/Rust with 12+ years of experience; familiarity with Python is required.
• Experience reverse engineering malware analysis and understanding file formats (PE, ELF, Mach-O).
• Comfort working across Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms.
• Solid grasp of algorithms to solve complex technical problems.
