Sr Software Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic Traffic team in Mumbai, Maharashtra. In this role, you will be instrumental in automating and enhancing our traffic data processing capabilities. You will develop cutting-edge software tools, both for backend operations and user-friendly dashboards, to streamline the flow of critical traffic information.

As a technical leader, you will drive the development of innovative and high-quality solutions, embracing new technologies in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise in CI/CD pipelines will ensure seamless code deployment from development to production. You will own the entire software stack, from DevOps to rigorous testing, guaranteeing exceptional quality assurance.

Collaboration is key as you work with internal engineering teams and customers to understand needs, solve complex challenges, and leverage internal platform resources and APIs to their full potential. You will build efficient, reliable, and reusable software designed for future scalability.

The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, with 4+ years of software development experience in Java or Scala. Proficiency in data structures, messaging technologies, and various frameworks is essential. You should be adept with cloud environments, RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, SOA, microservices architectures, and AWS services like EC2, S3, and RDS. Docker and experience with Apache Iceberg are considered strong assets. A strong understanding of CI/CD, particularly with GitLab, and fluency in Linux/Unix shell scripting are required. You excel at translating business requirements into elegant software designs, writing clean, reusable, and reliable code, and are skilled in unit testing, performance testing, and building testable code.
