Sr Software Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Developer to lead technical initiatives in our production environment. This hands-on role requires deep platform expertise, a strong DevOps mindset, and the ability to leverage AI tools for modern development workflows.

Core Responsibilities:

• D365 Development: Design, develop, and maintain customizations, extensions, and integrations using X++ within D365 F&O.
• Deployment & DevOps: Lead zero-downtime production deployments via LCS; manage CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps (builds, releases, environments).
• Source Control: Own Git/TFS workflows, including branching strategies, pull request reviews, and conflict resolution.
• Incident Management: Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on production incidents; document findings and implement permanent fixes using AI-assisted tools where applicable.
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Translate business requirements into technical solutions with functional consultants; mentor junior developers and enforce coding standards.
• Lifecycle Services: Manage LCS environments, create deployable packages, and coordinate hotfixes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Tech Stack: Proficiency in X++, .NET, D365 extension patterns, Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos, Pipelines), Git/TFS.
• D365 Architecture: Deep understanding of AOT, data entities, DMF, batch framework, and workflows. Experience with version upgrades is a plus.
• Integrations & Power Platform: Expertise in OData, custom services, Logic Apps, Power Automate, and third-party middleware (e.g., AMCS, TAS).
• Certification: Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Apps Developer Associate (MB-500) is required.
• Experience Level: 5+ years of hands-on D365 F&O / AX development experience in production environments.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Familiarity with AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Azure OpenAI) for code generation and review.
• Experience working with external ISV solutions or Power Platform alongside D365.
