Sr Software Engineer

About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team at Amura Health. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-performance backend systems that are scalable, reliable, and secure.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, frontend developers, and DevOps engineers to design, implement, and optimize backend solutions that support our innovative healthcare products. Your expertise in Node.js and related technologies will be instrumental in building robust APIs, microservices, and backend architectures that handle complex engineering challenges.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate possesses 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience in backend development.
• Demonstrating a strong proficiency in Node.js and related frameworks (Express, Nest.js).
• A solid understanding of asynchronous programming patterns, TypeScript (preferred), and REST API design is essential.
• Experience working with both relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, and NoSQL databases like MongoDB or DynamoDB.
• Familiarity with caching mechanisms, particularly Redis, and message queuing systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS is required.
• Additionally, experience with Docker, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms like AWS is necessary.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities include developing backend services, APIs, and microservices. You will own modules end-to-end, from design and implementation to testing and deployment, ensuring high-quality code. Optimizing system performance, scalability, and reliability are core parts of your role.

You will work with databases, caching systems, and asynchronous processing to ensure efficient data handling. Collaborating with DevOps teams, you will contribute to CI/CD automation and infrastructure management.
