Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct prototyping, bench testing, problem-solving, research, and product design support
- Translate design inputs into engineering specifications for component/sub-system level designs
- Create code development estimates to support projects
- Design new components using various concepts and patterns
- Generate necessary project documentation (requirements, architecture, test plans)
Business Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate advanced understanding of customer needs and clinical procedures
- Understand financial models used in product development
Med Device Compliance:
- Follow industry standards, design requirements, test strategies, and regulatory mandates (FDA/MDR)
- Create/refine engineering documentation such as Design History Files
- Adhere to R&D procedures including design controls and risk management per QMS
General Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing)
- Demonstrate ownership in complex problem-solving and prioritize work independently
- Lead code reviews applying design principles and coding standards
- Develop software components per requirements defined in architecture
