Sr. Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of functional areas, independently resolving complex, real-time customer issues across domains using advanced debugging and in-depth code analysis.
• Conduct thorough root-cause analysis of critical events, including assisting with customer issue replication and developing effective fixes.
• Contribute to the development of new features and the evolution of existing VMAX Microcode, informed by customer feedback and experiences.
• Design, code, test, and document code changes, ensuring code quality and accountability through QA validation and triage activities.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in software development and/or troubleshooting, with a Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proficient in C/C++ coding or the ability to comprehend large, complex C/C++ codebases.
• Solid understanding of operating system concepts, data structures, and system-level programming; experience with embedded, distributed, or fault-tolerant systems is advantageous.
• Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting intricate issues involving hardware, firmware, and system software integration.
• A self-driven individual with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, capable of reporting progress and driving change.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Dell Enterprise Storage product architecture.
• Experience working effectively within a global team environment.
• General understanding and practical application of Agile software engineering processes.
