Role Overview

We are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using .NET technologies and React.js within Cognizant's global environment in Tamil Nadu. This role focuses on scalable architecture, governance, risk, compliance (GRC) solutions, and ensuring organizational resilience.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and build robust server-side components using .NET/.NET Framework to deliver reliable business applications meeting complex enterprise needs.
• Create responsive, accessible user interfaces with React.js that prioritize usability, performance, and inclusivity for diverse users.
• Optimize full-stack application performance through code profiling, refactoring critical paths, caching strategies, and concurrency management aligned with best practices.
• Partner with product owners, business analysts, and quality engineers to translate functional requirements into technical designs that minimize delivery risk.
• Maintain high code quality via comprehensive unit/integration testing, peer reviews, and clear documentation supporting long-term maintainability.
• Integrate applications securely using APIs while adhering to organizational compliance controls to safeguard data integrity.
• Implement secure coding practices across .NET and React.js components to address vulnerabilities early in the development lifecycle.
• Support production deployments and incident analysis during day shifts by troubleshooting defects, identifying root causes, and implementing durable fixes.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to enhance build/deployment pipelines for .NET/React.js solutions, increasing release reliability.

Qualifications & Skills

• Demonstrate deep expertise in .NET/.NET Framework (OOP design patterns, asynchronous programming, enterprise integration).
• Show strong proficiency in React.js and modern front-end practices (component-based architecture, state management, responsive design).
• Apply solid understanding of software engineering principles: clean code, modular design, testing strategies, version control.
• Leverage experience working in hybrid environments to collaborate effectively with onsite/remote peers on predictable delivery cadences.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and debugging skills across complex distributed systems.

Preferred Certifications

Azure Developer Associate or equivalent .NET-focused credential relevant to enterprise application development is preferred.
