The Delivery Service Partner (DSP) Tech team is integral to Amazon's global transportation network, focusing on creating scalable, innovative, and cost-effective delivery solutions. As a Senior Software Development Engineer (Sr SDE), you will be expected to demonstrate expertise across full-stack software development, encompassing customer-facing applications and the backend services critical for efficient last-mile delivery operations. You will need the vision and technical acumen to develop solutions that assist DSPs and Amazon in improving vehicle safety and compliance, and optimizing vehicle maintenance and utilization, ultimately reducing operational costs.

You will assume responsibility for the overarching architecture of systems owned by the Partner Connection Technology team, ensuring the team constructs the appropriate solutions to meet customer needs and business objectives. You will make pivotal decisions regarding architectural components, technology selections, and design patterns across teams and in design forums, championing engineering best practices. Collaboration with the SDM is key to adopting best practices for operational and engineering excellence. You will lead inclusive and constructive dialogues with team members and related teams to resolve disagreements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Over 5 years of professional software development experience (excluding internships).
• Over 5 years of programming experience in at least one software programming language.
• Over 5 years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• Experience serving as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Over 5 years of experience with the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
