Senior Sitecore Developer - Pune, India

Johnson Controls is actively seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Senior Sitecore Developer to become an integral part of our Global Marketing IT team. This role is pivotal in leading the design, implementation, and key delivery tasks for complex, multi-brand, multi-site, and multi-lingual Sitecore solutions. You will be instrumental in developing a globally shared, centralized SXA component inventory. As a Senior Sitecore Developer, you will be responsible for analyzing intricate business requirements, architecting robust technical solutions, guiding development efforts across multiple agile teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-caliber Sitecore projects. This position demands close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, project managers, and key stakeholders, to forge innovative and scalable digital experiences powered by the Sitecore platform. Furthermore, you will be accountable for ensuring the Sitecore platform remains aligned with the latest industry trends, paving the way for future growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate effectively with multiple development and technical teams to dissect requirements and translate them into resilient Sitecore solutions.
• Strictly adhere to architectural guidelines, coding standards, and established best practices.
• Possess a profound understanding of the Sitecore SXA platform (version 10+) and its comprehensive features, capabilities, and integration points. Stay abreast of the latest Sitecore developments and updates to provide informed, strategic recommendations.
• Demonstrate hands-on experience in working with complex marketing architectures that integrate various platforms, fulfilling critical business functions such as Content Operations, Marketing Automation, Web Analytics, Product Management, CDN and WAF, DAM Solutions, Content Indexing and Search, and Third-Party integrations.
• Exhibit familiarity with the overall Sitecore XP architecture, including seamless integrations with third-party systems, databases, APIs, and external services, ensuring fluid data exchange and interoperability across diverse components.
• Showcase knowledge in the setup, configuration, and ongoing management of Sitecore environments (production, staging, and development). Effectively troubleshoot, debug, and resolve performance issues, bugs, and integration challenges within the Sitecore ecosystem.
• Conduct thorough code reviews to guarantee code quality, adherence to architectural mandates, and compliance with industry best practices. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and mentor team members on coding standards and architectural principles.
• Analyze complex technical challenges and devise innovative solutions. Proactively troubleshoot issues, propose effective workarounds, and resolve roadblocks in close collaboration with development teams.
• Partner closely with marketing, content, SEO, UX/UI, Compliance, Security, and business stakeholders to deeply understand digital marketing requirements and ensure Sitecore solutions align with enterprise standards and strategic marketing objectives.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and design documents that clearly articulate solution designs, rationale, and implementation details.
• Work in close conjunction with cross-functional teams, including developers, UI/UX designers, content creators, and QA engineers, to ensure a streamlined development lifecycle and successful project delivery.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Sitecore certifications on the latest version (e.g., Sitecore Certified Professional Developer) are highly advantageous.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of proven experience as a Senior Sitecore Developer or in a comparable role.
• Strong expertise in Sitecore CMS, encompassing Sitecore XP, Sitecore SXA, and Sitecore JSS.
• Working experience with Next-gen Sitecore Composable platforms such as Sitecore Personalize, CDP, XM Cloud, and Sitecore Stream.
• Proficiency in React, Next.js, and GraphQL is preferred.
• Experience in migrating Sitecore .Net MVC Component libraries to Headless using React or Next.JS is a significant plus.
• Hands-on experience with SearchStax, Coveo, Marketing Automation, and Third-Party Integrations.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines and ARM templates.
• In-depth knowledge of web development technologies, including the .NET framework, C#, MVC architecture, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related tools.
• Experience with cloud services and deployment, with a preference for Azure and Vercel.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing sophisticated multi-brand, multi-site, and multi-lingual Sitecore solutions featuring a globally shared, centralized SXA component inventory.
• Demonstrated experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools.
• Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with a proven ability to analyze complex technical challenges.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective interaction with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
