Sr. Shopify Developer

Specscart is seeking a Senior Shopify Developer to join its IT headquarters in Faridabad, Haryana, India. This pivotal role involves taking ownership of the e-commerce platform, focusing on building a seamless, high-performing online experience. Responsibilities include developing, customizing, and optimizing Shopify themes and features to support marketing campaigns, product launches, and overall website performance. The Senior Shopify Developer will collaborate with various teams to implement innovative ideas on the website, ensuring speed, scalability, and functionality. This hands-on position requires an individual who can think strategically, take project ownership, and actively contribute to improving user experience and conversion rates on a fast-paced, international e-commerce platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop headless Shopify storefronts using Next.js.
• Lead and execute Magento to Shopify migration projects.
• Optimize backend and frontend APIs for performance and scalability.
• Improve and maintain Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP).
• Implement advanced media optimization strategies (image/CDN/video streaming).
• Manage and deploy applications on AWS infrastructure (ECS, Lambda, CloudFront, S3, RDS).
• Integrate and customize Shopify CMS for dynamic content management.
• Build and maintain inventory management systems and workflows.
• Integrate Shopify POS systems with backend services.
• Ensure SEO best practices and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with design, product, and marketing teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks across the technology stack.

Technical Skills:

Frontend: Strong experience with Next.js and React, SSR, SSG, ISR implementation, and performance optimization (lazy loading, code splitting, caching).

Backend: Node.js (Fastify/Express preferred), API design (REST/GraphQL), and database experience (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).

Shopify: Extensive experience building Headless Shopify storefronts with Storefront API (GraphQL), custom headless implementations (Next.js + Shopify), and a deep understanding of Shopify data models (Products, Variants, Collections, Metafields, Metaobjects). Proficiency in designing scalable middleware layers, utilizing Storefront API (GraphQL) for data fetching, Admin API (REST & GraphQL) for backend operations, and Metafields & Metaobjects for structured content.

Cloud & DevOps: Experience with AWS (ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudFront, RDS, ElastiCache), CI/CD pipelines (CodePipeline, GitHub Actions), and Docker & container orchestration.

Performance & Optimization: Expertise in Core Web Vitals optimization, CDN and caching strategies, image optimization (Next/Image, CloudFront, WebP/AVIF), and API latency reduction.
