Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled Service Engineer specializing in Controls, Fire & Security Systems for our operations in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. This role is crucial for ensuring the optimal performance and compliance of critical safety and security infrastructure.

As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of fire safety and security systems, including installation, meticulous maintenance, and timely repairs. Your expertise will cover a range of systems such as advanced fire alarms, high-definition CCTV, sophisticated access control solutions, and robust suppression systems. Your primary objective is to guarantee that all installed systems are fully operational and adhere strictly to all relevant safety regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, rigorously test, and commission fire safety and security systems according to project specifications and safety protocols.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and routine servicing to ensure consistent system functionality and reliability.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and efficiently repair faults and malfunctions within fire alarm, CCTV, and broader security systems.
• Conduct thorough safety inspections to ensure full compliance with current fire and security regulations, identifying and rectifying any non-compliance issues.
• Provide expert technical support and offer insightful recommendations to clients regarding potential system upgrades and improvements.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate service records, generating detailed reports for management and clients.
• Respond promptly to emergency system failures, providing rapid and effective resolution to minimize downtime and ensure safety.

Qualifications:

• A relevant Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Fire Safety, or a closely related technical field.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in servicing fire and security systems.
• Strong technical proficiency and in-depth knowledge of fire alarm systems, CCTV technology, and access control systems.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities coupled with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Possession of relevant certifications in fire safety or security systems is highly desirable and preferred.
