Sr. Safety Engineer

Johnson Controls is seeking a Senior Safety Engineer, a contingent worker, to join their team in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, within the APAC region. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in safety engineering, with a preference for manufacturing environments, particularly in HVAC manufacturing. Essential hands-on experience includes conducting safety audits, performing risk assessments, and ensuring OSHA compliance. Preferred certifications include OSHA 30-Hour General Industry Safety, Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP), and First Aid/CPR certification. Key skills include a strong understanding of OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, and other pertinent safety standards; the ability to conduct hazard analysis, risk assessments, and root cause analysis; excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities; strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities; proficiency in safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite; and the capability to train employees at all organizational levels on safety procedures.
