Sr. Project Engineer

Johnson Controls is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Engineer specializing in Fire Access Systems, CCTV, and Access Control Systems for our operations in Gurgaon, Haryana, India. This role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end process of design, installation, integration, and commissioning of these critical safety and security systems within buildings. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in managing the deployment of fire alarm, surveillance, and access control solutions, coupled with strong project management acumen and technical expertise to ensure adherence to industry standards and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities include leading projects for the installation and commissioning of Fire Access Systems, CCTV, and Access Control Systems, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion. The role involves overseeing the installation, configuration, and commissioning of fire alarm, CCTV, and access control systems, ensuring full operational capability and regulatory compliance. A crucial aspect is the integration of these systems with other building management systems (BMS), such as HVAC, lighting, and energy management, for seamless operation. Comprehensive project documentation, including designs, diagrams, as-built drawings, operation manuals, test reports, and compliance certificates, must be meticulously maintained. The Project Engineer will also be responsible for post-installation support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of systems, and providing expert guidance to clients. Coordination with internal teams, external contractors, and suppliers is essential for smooth project delivery. Ensuring all installed systems meet regulatory compliance, including fire safety codes and security standards, is paramount. The role also involves direct client interaction, providing project updates, resolving queries, and ensuring client satisfaction.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a Diploma Degree in Engineering, Security Systems, or a related field. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of fire access systems, CCTV, and access control systems is required. Strong technical expertise with fire alarm systems, CCTV cameras, surveillance systems, and access control systems (e.g., proximity card readers, biometric scanners) is essential. Proven project management experience in security and fire safety systems, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management, is necessary. Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills, along with strong verbal and written communication abilities, are expected.
