Senior Network Operations Engineer - Pune, India

Johnson Controls is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Operations Engineer to join our Technical Operations Centre in Pune, Maharashtra, India. As a key member of our global network services team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our complex enterprise infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of Network Operations Engineers, fostering a high-performance environment.
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient incident management, troubleshooting, and timely resolution of network issues against defined SLAs.
• Maintain clear and concise communication with internal teams, stakeholders, and Global Network Services Operations management.
• Proactively monitor the company’s global network infrastructure using various monitoring tools.
• Act as the primary point of contact for escalations during your shift, ensuring seamless service continuity.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, including incident reports, shift handovers, and troubleshooting guides, facilitating knowledge transfer.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex technical challenges and support continuous service improvement initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to company compliance, security, and safety standards in all operational activities.
• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying trends and implementing improvement plans.
• Lead crisis management efforts during major incidents, ensuring swift resolution and effective communication.
• Conduct thorough shift handovers to guarantee uninterrupted service delivery.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in network operations within a global enterprise environment with a complex infrastructure.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience within a Network Operations Centre (NOC) or a similar operational setting.
• Strong expertise in Cisco Routing and Switching configuration and diagnostics.
• Proficient in firewall configuration and diagnostics, including Cisco ASA, Fortinet, and Palo Alto.
• Extensive experience with Cisco LAN, WAN, WLAN technologies, VPN, load balancers, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, and SNMP.
• Solid understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP and BGP.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools like Solarwinds.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA or ITIL are highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive under pressure and manage effectively in high-stress situations.
