Sr Full Stack Engineer

About This Role

Optum is seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and scale modern AI-powered digital products. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in React, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, and Generative AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop responsive web applications using React, TypeScript, and Node.js
• Create rich dashboards, analytics portals, data visualizations, and executive reporting solutions
• Build scalable backend services, APIs, microservices for web, mobile, and AI-driven experiences
• Integrate Generative AI solutions including RAG applications, prompt engineering, tool-calling, agent orchestration, and vector search architectures
• Create intuitive user experiences that simplify complex business workflows
• Implement observability, monitoring, analytics, and usage dashboards for system performance measurement
• Drive engineering excellence through automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 6+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI applications, LLM platforms, and frameworks
• Solid expertise in React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, HTML5/CSS3
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Understanding of AI assistants, copilots, agentic workflows, prompt engineering, tool/function calling, RAG, vector search, embeddings

Preferred Qualifications:

• B.E or B.Tech in computer science/IT
• Experience with advanced data visualization frameworks (D3.js, Recharts)
• Healthcare, health-tech, or regulated industry experience
• Understanding of cloud-native architectures and distributed systems
