Sr. Engineering Manager

We are seeking an Engineering Manager / Senior Engineering Manager to lead critical backend systems driving user growth and revenue for our global live streaming platform. This role demands a hands-on leader who owns architecture, execution, and delivery without separation.

• Spearhead the development of core technologies enabling real-time video and chat experiences worldwide
• Architect and scale low-latency, high-throughput video pipelines covering ingest, transcoding, delivery, and playback
• Cultivate top technical talent specializing in distributed streaming systems
• Maintain system reliability, performance, and cost efficiency under massive concurrent load

• 10-12 years total experience in software development with 3+ years leading teams of 15+ backend engineers
• 7+ years as a technical lead or staff engineer building scalable applications using Go, Node.js, or Java on AWS/GCP/Azure
• Expert knowledge of microservices, event-oriented architecture, and distributed design patterns for live streaming services serving millions
• Strong background in low-latency architectures including ingest, encoding/transcoding, packaging, and adaptive bitrate streaming
• Mastery of streaming protocols: RTMP, HLS, DASH, WebRTC
• Solid grasp of SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (Cassandra/MongoDB)
• Proficiency with Kafka, Redis, Elasticsearch for brokers, caching, and search
• Adeptness in containerized workloads on Kubernetes/OpenShift
