Sr. Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Engineer to serve as a specialist within our engineering team supporting product development. In this role, you will help develop deep insight into application architecture and distill abstract designs into concrete implementations.

• You will demonstrate expertise in applying software engineering patterns to build robust, scalable systems for high-performance, low-latency solutions.
• Design and implement microservices that are fault-tolerant capable of handling significant traffic volumes.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate emerging technologies considering viability within our technical environment, maintainability, and total cost of ownership.
• Initiate research and proof-of-concept activities for new innovations in distributed systems and backend technologies.
• Manage product lifecycle, financials, forecasting, and disaster recovery planning including data quality protocols across acquisition and storage.

About You

We require at least 5 years of experience in software design & development with a minimum of 4 years building scalable backend applications using Java or Kotlin. Expertise is expected in:

• Microservices & Distributed Systems including event-driven architectures.
• Databases: Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL and non-relational solutions.
• Messaging systems like Kafka for data streaming.
