About the Role
Qualcomm is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Engineering Group in Hyderabad, Telangana. As a Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, modifying, and validating embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and specialized utility programs. You will contribute to launching cutting-edge, world-class products that meet and exceed customer needs. This role involves close collaboration with systems, hardware, architecture, and test engineers to design system-level software solutions and understand performance requirements and interfaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply software engineering knowledge to support the design, development, modification, and validation of embedded and cloud edge software.
- Analyze user needs and software requirements to inform development efforts.
- Design and implement small software features for products and systems.
- Participate in design, coding for small features, unit testing, minor debugging, and integration to ensure timely project completion.
- Assist in performing code reviews and regression tests, and triaging issues to maintain code quality.
- Collaborate effectively with project team members to achieve project objectives.
- Write technical documentation for software projects.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- 1+ year of experience with Database Management Software.
- 1+ year of experience working with APIs.
- 1+ year of work experience with Git, Perforce, or other Source Code Management Systems.
Level of Responsibility
- Works under direct supervision.
- Decision-making directly impacts the immediate work area and/or work group.
- Requires effective verbal and written communication skills for conveying basic, routine factual information.
- Tasks may involve multiple steps that can be performed in various orders, requiring planning, problem-solving, and prioritization.
