Qualcomm India Private Limited, a leader in technology innovation, is seeking skilled engineers to join its Engineering Group. As a Software Engineer at Qualcomm, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, creating, modifying, and validating embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and specialized utility programs. These efforts directly contribute to launching cutting-edge, world-class products that satisfy and surpass customer expectations. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with systems, hardware, architecture, and test engineers, along with other teams, to architect system-level software solutions and define performance requirements and interfaces.

Specifically, the QCT Software Automation and Tools (QSWAT) group is hiring Full-Time QA Test Engineers. This role involves assessing the quality of QSWAT tools through both manual and automated testing. These tools are critical for a significant portion of Qualcomm's QCT Software development and testing operations. Responsibilities include the design, development, and automation of test cases, with a focus on web-based tools hosted on the cloud. The testing framework and test cases leverage AWS, SpecFlow BDD, C#, and Python scripting.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, coupled with 3+ years of Software Engineering or relevant work experience.
• OR a Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, with 2+ years of Software Engineering or relevant work experience.
• OR a PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, with 1+ year of Software Engineering or relevant work experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.

Job Overview - QA Test Engineer (QSWAT Group):

• 2+ years of academic or industry experience in:
• Coding using Selenium WebDriver, BDD Test Framework, and Playwright with TypeScript.
• Scripting languages such as Python.
• Various testing techniques including UI Testing, Automated Testing, and Test-Driven Development Strategies.
• Software QA tools and processes.
• Planning, creating, and managing overall Quality Planning strategies.
• SQL Server or related databases, including experience with ORMs like Entity Framework and/or Dapper.
• Version Control Systems (VCS) such as Perforce or Gerrit.
• Cloud platforms (AWS), Docker, and Jenkins.
• Experience with multiple cloud vendors (Azure, GCP) and application performance testing is considered an additional advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and automate test cases using Selenium/BDD test framework and Playwright.
• Test QSWAT tools, identify deficiencies, and report bugs.
• Propose solutions to address identified QSWAT tool problems.
• Investigate tool quality to implement improvements for enhanced customer satisfaction.
• Develop and manage the overall Quality Planning strategy.
• Collaborate with Tools Development teams to ensure consistent project execution.
• Identify quality assurance process bottlenecks and recommend improvement actions.
• Oversee continuous improvement projects.
• Collect quality data and define key performance indicators (KPIs) for tool quality.
• Prepare and present reports and metrics to Senior Management.
