Sr. Digital Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a talented Senior Digital Software Engineer to join the Duluth Trading Company. This role combines full-stack development expertise with progressive web application (PWA) specialization, addressing complex business issues through innovative digital solutions.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cutting-edge Progressive Web Applications using modern technologies like JavaScript frameworks, Node.js, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design and product management to define, architect, and ship new features effectively.
• Write robust unit tests ensuring software reliability under various conditions.
• Debug applications continuously and optimize performance for the best user experience.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent 5+ years of professional experience.
• Proven full-stack development skills with expertise in modern programming languages (JavaScript, Python, Ruby).
• Deep knowledge of REST APIs and back-end server-side application architecture.
• Familiarity with Progressive Web Applications and the complete web development lifecycle from UX/UI design through deployment.

Location & Work Environment

The position is eligible for remote work within the continental United States (excluding California). While fully remote, we value collaboration:

• In-Person Requirements: Final interviews and first-week onboarding are conducted onsite at our Mount Horeb, WI headquarters.
• Travel: Less than 10% required for company meetings/events. We cover all travel arrangements.
