Sr. DevOps Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer (Storage Platform) for a contract-to-hire opportunity focusing on enterprise storage and Kubernetes platforms within Linux environments.

Must Have Requirements:

• Experience: 6+ years managing enterprise storage and Kubernetes platforms on Linux.
• Solutions Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with SDS solutions (Ceph, Longhorn) and migrations from legacy systems.
• Storage Protocols: Proficiency in block, file, and object storage, including Fibre Channel (Cisco MDS), NVMe-oF, or iSCSI fabrics.
• Operating Systems & Containers: Expert knowledge of Kubernetes and Linux systems (Ubuntu, RHEL/CentOS).
• IaC & Automation: Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Ansible and Terraform for provisioning storage and backup schedules.
• Backup Technologies: Experience with platforms such as Rubik.
• Scripting: Strong skills in Python and Bash; Golang is a plus.
• Operations: Ability to operate 24x7 mission-critical production environments using KVM hypervisors (Suse Harvester, OpenStack).
• Soft Skills & Collaboration: Excellent written/verbal communication, ability to write technical documentation, and contribute to community wikis or knowledge bases.

Nice To Have Qualifications:

• OpenStack Cinder multi-backend administration experience.
• Familiarity with backup platforms like Rubrik.
• Understanding of CIS/NIST security standards and infrastructure lifecycle management.
• Certifications: ITIL Foundation/advanced, CKA (CNCF), CKS, or Red Hat Specialist in Ceph Storage Administrator (EX125).
