Senior Data Scientist - Mumbai

Main Purpose of Role

Under general direction, this role involves instructing, directing, and checking the work of other systems analysis and programming personnel. The Senior Data Scientist will formulate and define system scope and objectives for assigned projects, devising or modifying procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and desired results. Responsibilities include program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation, holding full technical knowledge of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming. A good understanding of the business or function for which the application is designed is essential. This role is responsible for quality assurance review and for directing and monitoring the work of team members, potentially including project completion and user satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities

• Analyze customers’ technical needs and develop proposals outlining how Abbott Laboratories' products and services can meet these needs and be integrated and implemented with the customer’s existing systems and equipment.
• Develop and deliver sales presentations and respond to complex technical questions regarding the organization’s product, system, or service.
• Estimate the costs, resources, time, and technical requirements of modifying, configuring, and installing the organization’s products and services to meet customer needs.
• Liaise with hardware, software, and systems design engineers to ensure that products and services are modified, configured, and installed according to customer needs.
• Develop and deliver training to educate customers on the features of the product or service they have purchased.
• Respond to complex customer questions and troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve technical problems that arise during or after implementation.
• Coach and mentor less experienced engineers, checking the quality of their work and helping them resolve problems.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree (approximately 16 years of education).
• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
