Role Overview

Microsoft is seeking a Senior Data Center IT Support Technician based in East Point, Georgia. This onsite role focuses on providing critical IT support for secure access workstations (SAWs), laptops, servers, and conference room A/V systems within our data centers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain device inventory ensuring strict adherence to security compliance standards.
• Manage the full lifecycle of SAW devices: ordering, receiving, assigning/re-assigning, decommissioning, and performing Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMA) for damaged units within 30 days.
• Provide senior-level technical support including power cycling, component swapping, storage media handling, cable installations, rack/stack hardware setup, and advanced troubleshooting using standard data center processes.
• Support the deployment of on-site physical infrastructure such as Servers, NetDevices, SANs, and Windows Server OS Support.
• Collaborate with corporate teams and internal stakeholders to ensure a 'healthy' state for all assets.

Requirements:

• Mandatory: High school diploma or equivalent; minimum 2 years of experience supporting IT equipment; ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background checks (required every two years).
• Preferred: Technical College degree in CS/Math/Telecoms, certifications (CompTIA/Microsoft), forklift/pallet jack operation skills, and flexibility for shift work including weekends/holidays.
