Sr. Data Analyst

Responsibilities

• Take proactive ownership of tracking and reporting on critical metrics for product performance, trading activity, and user growth. Establish regular review cycles to identify insights, anomalies, and opportunities without external prompting.
• Create and maintain robust metrics frameworks, definitions, and reporting standards that serve as the single source of truth across our organization.
• Develop and automate data workflows using Python scripts to replace manual processes, ensuring efficiency in recurring tasks.
• Leverage advanced SQL skills on Redshift and MySQL platforms to extract, transform, and analyze extensive datasets effectively.
• Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports utilizing BI tools such as Metabase, Looker, Tableau, or creating sophisticated models in Google Sheets/Excel.
• Instrumentation and validation of product and marketing events using Mixpanel and Google Analytics to drive data-informed decisions.
• Collaborate with product and growth teams to design A/B tests, measure impact, and convert complex business challenges into clear analytical solutions.
• Uphold the highest standards of data security by enforcing access controls, implementing PII masking/anonymization, and adhering strictly to compliance protocols regarding sensitive financial information.
• Foster team development through mentoring junior analysts and elevating our collective analytical capabilities.

Requirements

• Demonstrated 7-10 years of professional experience in data or business analytics, with a proven history of driving insights proactively.
• Bachelor's degree in statistics, computer science, economics, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
• Expert proficiency in SQL, specifically within Redshift and MySQL environments.
• Advanced Python capabilities for developing automation scripts, data pipelines (pandas), and scheduled jobs.
• Mastery of Google Sheets and Excel for advanced modeling, complex reporting, and analytical tasks.
• Practical experience with product analytics platforms like Mixpanel and web analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
• Skill set in at least one BI/visualization tool including Metabase, Looker, Tableau, or comparable solutions.
• Firm understanding of data security principles, PII access control strategies, masking techniques, and responsible handling of sensitive financial data.
• Outstanding communication abilities to effectively influence both technical specialists and non-technical stakeholders alike.
