Full Job Description
Databricks is seeking a Senior Data Analyst in Bengaluru, India, to play a pivotal role in guiding technological decision-making for business teams. This position involves supporting daily operations, troubleshooting the data intelligence warehouse, and monitoring jobs. You will be instrumental in identifying new data needs, developing mechanisms for acquisition and reporting, and addressing current requirements. As a Business Intelligence Data Engineer, you will offer expertise in data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence, reporting directly to the Director of Business Systems and Data.
Key Responsibilities:
Design/Strategy
The Senior Data Analyst will design and support the business's reporting needs, primarily utilizing Tableau and anticipating future integration with other BI tools.
Collaboration
This is a highly collaborative role, requiring close partnership with Data Engineers and Business Analysts within the organization. You will also engage with other departments and teams across the industry to create effective, user-friendly solutions that cater to diverse business data needs.
Analytics
The Senior Data Analyst will demonstrate analytical prowess by rapidly and comprehensively analyzing business requirements for reporting and analysis, translating these findings into robust technical data designs.
What We're Looking For:
- A minimum of 6 years of experience with Tableau and other Business Intelligence tools.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and working with Tableau-driven dashboards and analytics.
- Advanced Tableau development skills are essential.
- Practical knowledge of Tableau administration and architecture.
- Proficiency in querying and displaying large datasets efficiently while optimizing workbook performance.
- Ability to interpret technical or dashboard structures and translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications.
- Experience collaborating with business stakeholders to create valuable reports and dashboards that offer insights, automate processes, or enhance team productivity.
- High-level competency in Microsoft Excel, including macros and pivot tables.
- A strong understanding of advanced calculations and statistical functions.
- Solid knowledge of SQL, relational database management systems, data modeling, and normalization principles.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Previous experience in Data Engineering is considered a significant advantage.
