Sr Cloud Engineer II

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer (Sr Cloud Engineer II) based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India to lead the development of our cloud-based Network Management System (NMS) platform. This role involves building sophisticated web applications and mobile interfaces that enable enterprise customers to monitor, configure, and manage their network infrastructure including switches, routers, and WiFi access points at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• NMS Platform Development: Design and develop scalable web applications for network device management, monitoring, and configuration.
• Real-time Dashboard Creation: Build responsive dashboards displaying network topology, device status, performance metrics (optimized for Chennai timezone), and alerting systems.
• Device Integration: Develop APIs and interfaces for managing diverse network hardware from multiple vendors.
• Network Visualization: Create interactive network topology maps and device relationship diagrams using D3.js.
• Mobile Management Apps: Build mobile applications for field technicians to configure and troubleshoot network devices remotely.
• Performance Monitoring: Implement real-time network performance monitoring, SNMP integration, and telemetry data visualization (relevant for enterprise clients in India).
• Configuration Management: Develop tools for bulk device configuration, firmware updates, and policy deployment.
• Alert Systems: Build intelligent alerting and notification systems for network events.
• Multi-tenant Architecture: Contribute to secure, scalable multi-tenant SaaS platform architecture.
• API Development: Create RESTful APIs for third-party integrations and customer automation workflows.

Technical Requirements

• Frontend: Advanced proficiency in React.js/Angular, TypeScript, D3.js, WebSocket.
• Backend: Strong experience with Node.js, Python, or Java for building scalable network management services.
• Network Protocols: Understanding of SNMP, SSH, Telnet, NETCONF, REST APIs (critical role in the Indian tech ecosystem).
• Database Systems: Experience with time-series databases (InfluxDB) and traditional SQL/NoSQL systems.
• Cloud Platforms: AWS/Azure/GCP experience focusing on networking services relevant to high-density data centers in India.
• Monitoring Tools: Expertise in log aggregation, observability platforms like Grafana/Prometheus.
• Security: Knowledge of network security principles and secure device access methods (vital for enterprise deployments).
• DevOps: CI/CD pipelines using Docker/Kubernetes and Terraform for infrastructure automation in Chennai data centers.

Domain-Specific Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Network Engineering (high demand in Tamil Nadu tech hubs).
• 8-10 years of full-stack development experience with 3+ years specifically in network management or infrastructure software.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and routing protocols relevant to Indian enterprise networking standards.
• Experience with network device APIs (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba) commonly used by ISPs in the region.
• Familiarity with WiFi standards (802.11ax/ac/ah) and modern switching concepts.
• Knowledge of SaaS platform architecture for enterprise customers.
