Sr. Associate Salesforce Engineer

This position will involve hands-on development on the Salesforce platform, including declarative configuration, custom Salesforce development, integrations, APIs, and secure enterprise delivery.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and support Salesforce applications using established engineering standards and architectural guidance.
• Design and implement Salesforce solutions using declarative capabilities such as objects, fields, page layouts, validation rules, Flows, approval processes, security settings, and user access.
• Evaluate business and technical requirements to determine appropriate implementation approaches, including custom full-stack components when needed.
• Develop user experiences on the Salesforce Lightning Platform using Lightning Web Components.
• Enhance and maintain Salesforce products and solutions using Apex, Flows, and platform configuration within Service Cloud and Experience Cloud capabilities.
• Translate user stories into high-quality, reusable Salesforce components and user experiences.
• Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and enterprise APIs, databases, data services, and other business applications.
• Create rapid prototypes to validate technical approaches.
• Use source control, CI/CD, deployment tooling, monitoring, rollback, and incident-management practices.
• Write clean, reusable, well-documented, secure, and testable Apex, Lightning Web Components, JavaScript/TypeScript code.
• Participate in code reviews to improve quality, performance, accessibility, security, and maintainability.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production applications across Salesforce, APIs, data integrations, databases, cloud, and AI-enabled components.
• Create technical documentation including solution designs, data models, integration/API docs, deployment procedures, configuration docs, and runbooks.
• Follow Agile practices for sprint planning and effort estimation.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field.
• Approximately 5 to 9 years of relevant software development experience.
• Demonstrated experience as a Salesforce developer delivering enterprise solutions.
• Ability to independently deliver complex technical assignments while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.

Must-Have Skills:

• Ownership of at least one production Salesforce application, integration, automation, API, or related component.
• Strong experience developing solutions using declarative capabilities (Flow, data modeling) and custom technologies (Apex, Lightning Web Components).
• Experience with Salesforce architecture, security, sharing models, integrations, and platform best practices.
• Integration experience with enterprise APIs (REST/SOAP), platform events.
• Knowledge of relational databases, SOQL, SQL.
• Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript; React or modern front-end framework experience is a plus.
• Understanding of application security concepts and Salesforce access controls.
• Strong problem-solving skills within Agile environments.
