Sr Associate Engineer
Full Job Description
Lead the delivery of high-impact product UI within Anaplan's modern frontend platform, owning complex features end-to-end from technical design through production releases. You will mentor engineers, raise standards across React/TypeScript monorepos, and shape patterns for microfrontend boundaries.
What You'll Do:Required Qualifications:
Core Web (Expert-Level Application)
- Deep HTML/CSS skills applied through design systems rather than ad-hoc styling; Advanced TypeScript with generics, discriminated unions, utility types for strict API models.
- Web Components literacy: custom elements, shadow DOM interoperability with React hosts where applicable.
- 5+ years building large long-lived frontend products; 3+ years leading features in React with proven performance optimization (virtualization/debouncing/profiling) and strong component API design for composability/testability/extension points.
Architecture & Tooling
- Production experience with monorepos (pnpm/Nx), shared packages, internal design libraries; Vite/Webpack expertise including module federation/microfrontend operational concerns.
- GraphQL client patterns (caching/error policies/colocated queries) plus robust REST client abstractions and BFF collaboration shaping payloads for UI needs.
Quality Security & Operations
- Testing leadership with RTL/Vitest, E2E strategy using Playwright/Cucumber;
- Hands-on vulnerability remediation (Snyk/npm audits/SAST triage) and secure dependency management.
- Production debugging/observability via Grafana/Splunk; SLO-aware mindset for customer-impacting defects.
- CI/CD/release ownership using GitHub Actions/Harness/Argo CD pipelines with rollback judgment coordination between SRE/platform teams.
Leadership & Delivery
- Track record of mentoring engineers raising code quality through reviews/standards;
- Experience taking features through full lifecycle including production rollout/post-release monitoring in enterprise SaaS environments with multi-tenant UX permissions auditability/admin surfaces.
