The Wealth, Retail Banking (WRB) division is accelerating its transformation using DevOps and Agile practices to enhance efficiency, automation, and transparency. Delivery Sprint Teams are central to this agenda, responsible for building and integrating components of the DevOps pipeline to deliver new banking capabilities and refactor existing applications. These cross-functional teams comprise experienced programmers, operations specialists, and product owners who manage capability development end-to-end, requiring breadth across programming and system operations with demonstrated depth in specialization, alongside collaboration with business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Strategy

• Maintain awareness and understanding of the Group’s business strategy and model relevant to the role.

Mobile Web Developer

• Focus on product development, collaborating with squads to finalize end-to-end solutions and deliver products to the Bank’s digital channels.
• Continuously analyze and improve the digital channel platform from both a technical and user experience perspective.
• Stay updated with the latest software technologies and share knowledge within the team.
• Build user-centric web-based digital banking applications for internal staff and external customers globally.
• Work within modern software development environments and practices alongside highly skilled engineers on Web and Responsive front-end platforms.
• Contribute to the evolving technical direction of the digital channels team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a new generation of Digital Banking applications to enhance user experience for clients.
• Join an agile team developing leading mobile banking solutions.
• Demonstrate adaptability and creative problem-solving skills for complex programming challenges.
• Possess strong knowledge of UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Optimize mobile applications and user experience on Web platforms.
• Gather requirements, design, develop, deploy, and support applications.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners and Squads to deliver user-centric solutions.
• Promote the adoption and rollout of Agile and modern software engineering practices.
• Champion innovative software engineering practices and architecture design.
• Coordinate with development and interfacing teams to establish delivery pipelines across multiple streams.
• Manage risks, issues, and schedules effectively, adhering to agile principles.
• Collaborate with core DevOps and Testing teams to build and enhance a continuous delivery pipeline.
• Adapt to changes in priorities and requirements.

Mandatory Skills

• Hands-on experience in Web application development using JavaScript, TypeScript (>=ES6).
• Expertise in at least one of the following web frameworks: ReactJS, Vue, or Angular.
• Expertise in responsive UI design and resolving compatibility issues (HTML5 & CSS).
• Proficiency in DevOps concepts, Nginx, shell scripting, and Docker.
• Familiarity with APIs for connecting applications to back-end services.
• Experience in building maintainable and testable codebases, including API design, unit testing, and UI testing techniques.
• Knowledge of Micro-Frontend design patterns.
• Strong experience with Declarative Programming Style and Unidirectional Data Flow.

Prior Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in an international technology organization delivering complex projects.
• Full software development lifecycle experience.
• DevOps toolchain experience (e.g., Azure DevOps, Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, Vault).
• Experience with build automation tools (e.g., Webpack, Vite).
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong experience with mobile hybrid architecture, WebView, and JS bridges.
• Good knowledge of web security best practices (e.g., Penetration Testing).
